During this stage we gain a clear understanding of our clients drawing situation, including their major pains and priorities. We often consult with employees in a variety of roles throughout the facility to get a complete scope. As the facility drawings are used in a variety of ways, our goal is to provide an easy-to-use solution that works for every level of user and boosts overall productivity and organization across the board.
In this stage we will also often address any high priority concerns. For example; if there is a specific building on campus that needs this attention first, a set of drawings that is used daily, or if certain drawings needed urgently for an upcoming project. We take this all into consideration and process these immediately and can get them back in your hands in a matter of hours.

For both Hard Copy and Digital Files. We offer a variety of options based on your scenario:
-We can come to your site, gather, package and collect all your drawings.
-You can ship your drawings directly to DCM’s processing facility
-Transfer files digitally (CAD files, scanned images, PDFs, etc)

Through our auditing process we sort, categorize and review each drawing to determine the most current version. Each drawing is physically handled and processed by a drawing specialist.
Drawings are first sorted based on their Project(Name, Number & Year) and then further reviewed for; Revision status, stamps or mark-ups, most recent date, etc. At the end of the auditing process all drawings have been reviewed and given a status of Master Drawing, Superseded Version or a Duplicate copy.
Superseded and Duplicates can recorded in a database and then packaged for storage ( based on clients requests) or can be sent for recycling.
The Master drawings now ready to enter the file processing stage and become digitized images.

Using our internal hands-on team DCM repairs your hard copy drawings giving them the attention they deserve.

Next, we use our state-of-the-art equipment to scan drawings, analog prints, building plans scanning at 400 to 1800 DPI for max. visual clarity.

Digital files are rotated, straightened, cropped, despeckled, renamed, indexed, managed for DWG Xref, and saved as PDFs.

Each drawing is given a unique identification sticker, to ensure each digital image can be easily traced back to the original hardcopy.

The drawings are then packaged in order of unique identification number, neatly rolled and stored in heavy-duty drawing bags with an identification tag for easy retrieval (if ever required).

Each drawing is then cataloged and details collected from every individual drawing. This is the information that is transferred to the echo system to ensure finding the proper drawing is simple, no matter how little info is known. On average 15 points of data are extracted from each drawing, some of the data points are; Drawing title, drawing number, revision, project name, creation date, etc… Customized data fields (per your requirements) make it easy to filter and find catalogued files—and discover what’s missing.

Digital Delivery: echo and a memory drive containing the optimized files and the indexing data.
